This week on BJPenn.Com Radio hosts Mitch Ciccarelli and Bryan Levick will welcome good friends and training partners Mike Ricci and Rory MacDonald to the show along with their head coach at Tri-Star Gym, Firas Zahabi. Also joining us will be Alchemist Management Chairman Jeff Aronson and President Lex McMahon. This Wednesday night will be the culmination of the bet that we had with Aronson regarding the MacDonald-BJ Penn fight that took place on December 8th on the UFC on Fox 5 card. MacDonald walked away with a dominating decision over the former two-division UFC champion and will meet Carlos Condit at UFC 158 this March in Montreal. Condit handed MacDonald his first and only career loss when the two met at UFC 115 in June of 2010. After dominating the first two rounds, MacDonald was well on his way to victory before Condit took over in the third and won by TKO with just 7 seconds left in the fight. Ricci made it to the finals of this past season of TUF before losing to Colton Smith via unanimous decision. He wil return to the lightweight division where he seems to have a very bright future. He & MacDonald train together and are very close friends. Both men will be staples of their respective divisions for a long time to come. Zahabi trains a ton of great talent at Tri-Star including UFC WW Champion Georges St. Pierre, MacDonald and Ricci. Many fighters make their way up north to learn from Zahabi and its easy to see why. Rick Hawn, Kenny Florian, Miguel Torres, Ivan Menjivar and Mark Bocek are just a few of the other talented individuals who have learned under the watchful eye of Zahabi.
